The Fifth Table Insight Partnership

Delivering real world intelligence on your guest experience.

The Fifth Table Insight Partnership gives venues a structured, authentic view of how guests truly experience their visit. Through a programme of independent assessments carried out by Fifth Table mystery diners, you receive detailed, actionable feedback on service, food and drink quality, atmosphere, and the full customer journey. It’s the clearest way to understand how your venue performs through the eyes of real guests.

How it Works

8 Guest Experience Assessments Per Year

Each partner venue receives eight independent guest experience visits annually, with a detailed report after every visit.

We vary the type of guest each time including couples, families, individuals and small groups to reflect real customer behaviour and provide a balanced view of your experience.

The Fifth Table Insight Partnership provides venues with structured, real world insight into the genuine guest experience across the year.

Through a programme of independent visits carried out by trained Fifth Table guests, venues receive detailed feedback on service, food and drink quality, atmosphere, and the overall customer journey allowing businesses to understand exactly how their venue performs from a guest’s perspective.

Eight Guest Experience Assessments per year.

Each partner venue receives eight independent guest experience visits annually, with a detailed report following every visit. Rather than using the same type of visitor each time, Fifth Table intentionally varies the type of guest attending the venue. Visits may be conducted by:
• Couples
• Families
• Individual diners
• Small groups of friends

This ensures feedback reflects a variety of real customer perspectives, giving a more balanced and accurate picture of the venue’s guest experience.

GUEST INSIGHT, FROM THE TABLE

Eight mystery diner visits with detailed feedback reports per year

Every partner venue receives eight independent mystery diner visits annually, each followed by a comprehensive report with viable data and expert recommendations. To ensure feedback reflects the diversity of your real customer base, Fifth Table intentionally varies the type of mystery diner conducting each visit. Assessments may be carried out by:

• Couples
• Families
• Individual diners
• Small groups of friends

This approach provides a balanced, multiperspective view of your venue’s performance, enabling you to clearly identify strengths, uncover opportunities, and consistently elevate the guest experience. Supported by our expert team of hospitality professionals, these insights are then transformed into an indepth, insightdriven report that highlights meaningful patterns and presents refined, strategic recommendations tailored to your venue.

Insight Designed From the Guest’s Point of View

Beyond Insight Partnership visits, partner venues also gain access to Guest Book, Fifth Table’s streamlined guest feedback platform.

Guests simply scan a QR code to share their experience through a short, structured form. This captures genuine, in the moment feedback directly from real customers, rather than relying solely on public review sites where comments can be inconsistent and unmanaged.

Every Guest Book submission is reviewed by the Fifth Table team, enabling us to:

• Spot emerging trends in guest sentiment
• Respond to guest experiences when appropriate
• Highlight recurring strengths and areas for improvement
• Provide early warnings before issues escalate into negative public reviews

When a guest reports a disappointing experience, Guest Book also creates an opportunity to re‑engage them. Working closely with the venue, we can invite the guest back with a simple, positive call to action, helping turn a negative moment into a second chance.

By managing this process with care, The Fifth Table helps venues recover at‑risk customers and transform potential detractors into loyal return visitors.

Insight Designed From

the guest’s point of view

Alongside the Insight Partnership visits, partner venues also benefit from Guest Book, Fifth Table’s structured guest feedback platform.

Guests are invited to share their experience by scanning a simple QR code, which directs them to a short feedback form where they can describe their visit and overall experience.

This allows venues to capture feedback directly from genuine customers, not just from public review platforms where responses can often go unmanaged.

Every Guest Book submission is reviewed and managed by the Fifth Table team. This allows us to:
• Identify patterns in guest feedback
• Respond to guest experiences where appropriate
• Support venues in understanding recurring strengths or issues
• Provide early insight before feedback becomes a negative public review

Where a guest has had a disappointing experience, Guest Book also provides an opportunity to re-engage that customer. In these situations, we can work with the venue to invite the guest back with a simple call to action encouraging them to return and experience the venue again under improved circumstances.

By managing this process carefully with the outlet, Fifth Table helps venues recover potentially lost customers and turn negative experiences into positive follow-up visits.
